MARINA CITY MARINA

RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  1. All rules and regulations, ordinances and restrictions established by Los Angeles County Small Craft Harbor Commission The United States Coast Guard, the State of California automatically become a part of Essex Marina City Marina (EMCM) rules and regulations, and all EMCM tenants and their guests shall conform and comply with said regulations.

 

  1.  No refuse will be dumped into the harbor or onto the docks at any time for any reason.

 

  1. Heads will not be used while at dockside unless attached to an approved sewage disposal system.  When required by the appropriate authority, heads shall be sealed to prevent inadvertent use by unknowledgeable guests.

 

  1. All power lines and water hoses will be kept properly stored when not in use.

 

  1. No dogs or other pets shall be permitted with in the EMCM unless on a leash.

 

  1. The dockmaster, or a representative, may at their discretion, move or remoor your boat in order to protect it from potential damage, or when, in  the dockmaster’s opinion, your boat is in any way in danger on not properly secured.

 

  1. Any tenant planning to have his boat away from the marina for more than three days shall advise the dockmaster.  We strongly recommend that the owner file a cruise plan with the dockmaster as a safety precaution prior to departing on any extended cruise.

 

  1. Only EMCM approved docklockers will be allowed in the EMCM.

 

  1. Children under 12 years of age are to be supervised by parents or other adults while on the docks.

 

  1. Authorization from the dockmaster must be obtained prior to attaching, placing, or connecting any accessory or semi permanent equipment on the dock.  While it is not our desire to unduly restrict your enjoyment or our facility we all gain from keeping the dock system as clean and uncluttered as possible.

 

  1. Small boats and dinghies shall be kept off the docks.

 

  1. All electrical connections and dockside cordage must be approved by the dockmaster to assure conformance with the safety and appearance standards of the marina.

 

  1. Fishing from the docks is prohibited.

 

  1. Boarding steps on the slip fingers cannot be more than half the width of the finger.

 

  1. No part of any vessel shall extend over the main walkway.

 

  1. Your cooperation and courtesy is requested to prevent excessive noise during late evening and early morning hours.

 

  1. No bicycles or motor-type vehicles are allowed on the docks.

 

  1. No repairs or servicing will be made on any vessel while with in the slip except with the permission of the dockmaster or other EMCM representative.  No major repairs requiring heavy power equipment, spray apparatus or the extensive use of paints, varnish, shellac or other material will be permitted at the slips.  Drop cloths must be used for any work done topsides.  The cement docks must be kept clean at all times.

 

  1. Any overnight occupancy for three consecutive nights shall constitute living aboard, and is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of the dockmaster.

 

  1. Our anchorage is intended for the pleasure and enjoyment of its occupants and their guests. Any business enterprise which might be contemplated will require the approval of the dockmaster and other agencies,  No agents or solicitation will be permitted.

 

  1. These rules and regulations are intended as an explanatory supplement to any and all regulations and provisions with in the Mooring Agreement between EMCM tenants and Essex Marina City Marina, and do not alter or waive ay provisions contained in that agreement.

 

  1. The management of Essex Marina City Marina shall have the authority to alter, change, or modify the Rules and Regulations contained herein as required to best serve the interests of out tenants and the interests of the governing agencies of Marina del Rey.
